Cheikhou Kouyate has been given a hero’s welcome by crystal palace after returning from AFCON 2021.

Cheikhou Kouyate is a Senegalese footballer playing for Crystal Palace as a midfielder. He was a key part of the Senegal team that won the Africa Cup tittle AFCON Finals: Senegal win their first Africa Cup title on penalties. Senegal won against Egypt.

Kouyate gave a speech after his captain gave him a commemorative shirt by their club captain Luka Milivojevic. ” I cant explain this happiness, its unbelievable” He said. “This is a dream come true because when we were younger we used to watch Senegal play now we are older we play for Senegal and bring the cup home.”

The Crystal Palace midfielder joined the team in 2018 after signing a four-year contract. He moved to Belgium in 2006.
