Ghanaian-German footballer Ansgar Knauff scores first goal of the season.

Knauff, led the defeat of Augsburg against Eintracht Frankfurt (1-2) in the Bundesliga after an amazing 64th minute goal. The winger has been hot this season replicating last season’s form, and this has led to great praise for Frankfurt’s Europa League success.

Knauff’s goal in the 64th minute proved to be the game-winner as Frankfurt took three points away from home in the Bundesliga.

Ansgar was not a part of the startling line-up and entered the fame shortly after halftime, replacing Luca Pellegrini. The player made an impact, tormenting the Augsburg defence before scoring the goal that led to victory.

Knauff picked up the ball in the penalty area with his left and unleaded a shot that went straight into the net. The Ghanaian-German star placed his finish into the far corner to secure three pilots for Frankfurt at Augsburg wrote Ghanaweb.

“I’m happy about the goal, no matter how it came. Overall, we put our style of play on the pitch and deservedly got three points,” Knauff said after the game.

“It was important that we didn’t let the early goal concede throw us off course, we continued playing as if nothing had happened. We created a lot of chances, especially in the second half, when we used the space.”

This was his first goal of the season despite the 21-year-old not being present in this year’s World Cup – he was not selected for Germany’s preliminary squad.
