Call for submission of films for Nollywood Film Festival Germany 2016

Ehizoya Golden Entertainment is now accepting registration and submission of films for this year’s Nollywood Film Festival Germany.

The deadline for registration is 21st July while that for submission of films is 31st July.

The Nollywood Film Festival Germany will be held from 8th to 10th September in Frankfurt. Nollywood Europe Golden Awards will also be held during the Festival.

While Nollywood Film Festival Germany is a viable platform designed for Nollywood film makers to showcase their movies to Europeans and Nollywood fans in the Diaspora, Nollywood Europe Golden Awards is designed to honour Nollywood stake-holders, Nollywood stars, comedians, musician both in Africa and in the Diaspora.

The others to be honoured include outstanding statesmen and captains of industry who have done well to the admiration of the world. Successful Africans whose impact has been profound in the culture and tourism sector will also be honoured.

Unless a special waiver is granted, films to be submitted must have been made during the last 24 months preceding the Festival and must not have been shown on internet or TV.

It is possible to send a working copy of the film. When filling out the entry form, please state if it is the final version or a working version.

The Selection Committee will only screen the films in DVD (PAL), which must last between 90 and 120 minutes.

Both Blu-ray DVD and DCP are acceptable for cinema screening but they must be subtitled in English if the original version of the film is not in English, Ehizoya Golden Entertainment said.

The Festival will bring to Frankfurt Nollywood actors and actresses, directors, comedians, and musicians.
