Nollywood news. Nollywood actor Mr ibu’s daughter, Jasmine Okafor, has reportedly divorced her husband after nine months of marriage due to a ‘tiny’ lie he told.
Why did Jasmine divorce her husband after only 9 months of marriage?
According to instablog9ja, Jasmine disclosed that her husband had lied at the beginning of their relationship. He had failed to share that he had three grown children from a previous marriage he had not told her about.
“My marriage was so beautiful and full of love. My husband literally worshipped me! I don’t know if anyone is ever going to love me as he did! But this one lie! I can’t forgive! I have filed for a divorce today! I found out today that he has 3 grown-up girls! 3?
Jasmine shared that her husband had never told her he was married and divorced and that despite the fact he was divorced, he had failed to mention it and it did not change her mind regarding the matter. “I married a single loving husband! I won’t settle for less! I love him so much. I appreciate all the love you have showed me!”
Ms Okafor exposed her husband for lying about his age and ranted that she can’t forget what he did and that she owes no one an explanation.
She expressed that the past few months have been her best and she regrets nothing but chooses to not be deceived by her husband.
According to Jasmine Okafor, she found out her husband has children and was also divorced from her mother-in-law.
Ms Okafor also wrote on a post on social media that her marriage was the best 9 months of her life and she had no regrets whatsoever but she won’t settle for a lie. She said that she asked about such information several times before they became a couple and finding out he was married from his own mother broke her heart.
“A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me but you never mentioned your divorce nor kids to me. Moving on, I don’t think I want anyone else but I’ just gonna love you from a distance.”
This news came at the worst time as the couple had just celebrated their 9th month of living happily as a married couple and even shard that they were expecting twin babies soon.
