Nigerian artiste Eedris Abdulkareem to undergo surgery after kidney failure

Nollywood. Nigerian artiste Eedris Abdulkareem, has recently been diagnosed with kidney failure and has been undergoing dialysis since the detection.

The family of the veteran musician has called upon his fans for support and prayers through this trying time.

News of the artiste’s illness was disclosed on Wednesday via his Instagram handle by his spokesperson, Hon Myke Pam.

According to a statement by Pam, the “Nigeria Jaja Jaga” artiste needs the sincere prayers of all Nigerians and his fans around the world in this hour of his travails.

His surgery is scheduled for the end of this month, with all arrangements finalised, including the compatibility of the donor who happens to be a family member.

The release also stated that Abdulkareem is “full of life and in high spirit as he is bustling to go” and will return to the music stage “in due course.”

Popular Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga, also took to his Twitter page showing support to his colleague. His tweet read: “Save Eedris Abdulkarim now! Our brother has been diagnosed with Kidney Failure and requires surgery urgently. We have a donor in his family and the hospital has scheduled 27th July 2022 for his Emergency surgery.”
