This is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) to follow Allah’s (God’s) command to sacrifice his son Ishmael. Muslims around the world observe this event.

The Nigeria Embassy in Berlin will therefore be closed to the public on 12th and 13th and will resume normal business on 14th September 2016.

We wish all our Muslim readers a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
