Who is Leah Mugure Dittmann of Jambo African Dishes?
Leah Mugure Dittmann is the flavour behind Jambo African Dishes. She is based in Wetersadt, where she runs three food trucks. Having realised that Germans love and treasure the African culture, she has been able to prepare different foods from different African cultures.
In her business, Leah has been able to meet a lot of people and travel across different countries. In order to keep the African culture alive.
Leah travels to different festivals where she brings the African culture to people through food.
Her greatest achievement as a food truck owner is that she has been able to create employment to many people and especially students.
Leah’s food trucks are capable of serving three hundred people for lunch three times a week. She has also been able to sponsor a couple of events in her area as well as catering for six weddings.
Despite achieving so much, she has also faced some challenges with one being the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, she was not able to travel to any street food event.
Leah looks forward to winning the Best African Gastronomy – Restaurant/Caterer Award for she believes she is one person who has really managed to bring Africa close to people in diaspora with affordable prices and best services.
She believes that she has provided a face-lift for Africans in Germany because of the standards she has set with her business.
