African Community Awards. African Community in Germany Awards 2022. Dee Eye has been nominated for the Best African Musician/Band in Germany Award at the AFRONEWS – Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Awards 2022.
Who is Dee Eye?
Dee Eye is a hip hop, afrobeat and dancehall artiste based in Germany. He was born in Sierra Leone. He is the producer of Dem Music in Germany. Dee Eye has been championing afro music in Germany and has also represented Africa at different events in Germany.
The afro-beat musician started singing at the age of 11. This was not easy for him for he had to balance school work and music.
During this time, his biggest challenge was lack of sponsorship. This forced him to take a break from music.
In 2013, Dee Eye relocated to Germany. He revived his musical journey by building a home studio where he used to practice his music. Through his hard-work and determination he has been able to produce an album with 35 tracks with four singles. He is also planning to release his EP later on this year.
Dee Eye produced his debut album on 21st March 2021 named titled “Overload”. The album has 25 songs featuring various artistes.
One thing that drives Dee Eye to do his music is the love he has for his fans. Nothing makes him happier than seeing his fans dance to his tunes and songs. He holds that music helps him escape the reality of life and stress.
Winning the African Community in Germany Awards will be one of its kind for him for it will be his first award in Germany. This will also be important for him for it will help him grow his fan base in Germany and help in his mission of cultivating the African culture in the diaspora.

All winners will be announced and recognised at the African Community in Germany Awards Gala Night to be held on 22nd October 2022 from 5:30 PM at Bürgerzentrum Niederhöchstadt, Montgeronplatz 1, 65760 Eschborn.
