Football player, Kevin Akpoguma, has made the decision to play for Nigeria. The 25 year-old whose father is also Nigerian has decided to play for the Nigerian national team in the future.
Kevin Akpoguma has played in numerous youth teams for the DFB in recent years. From the U16 to the U21, the TSG Hoffenheim central defender wore the jersey of the German national team in a total of 62 missions.
“That has been an issue for me for a long time. I am now at an age where I have already gained international experience with TSG and I feel ready to play for my country. It makes me incredibly proud and I am positive excited. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team, “said Akpoguma.
At the moment it is still unclear whether the defensive man will be able to play for the “Super Eagles” in the course of the upcoming international matches against Algeria (October 9th) and Tunisia (October 13th), as formalities still have to be clarified.
