Lufthansa Increases Prices. News. Lufthansa has raised its prices, along with its subsidiaries like Austrian Airlines, Swiss, Eurowings Discover, and Brussels Airlines. The booking fees have gone up, especially for economy, premium, and business class tickets. These changes have been in place since the start of the month, meaning travellers will now face higher costs, particularly for long-distance flights. Additionally, prices for seats with extra comfort have also increased, which could make trips more expensive.
Lufthansa Increases Prices
The updated prices affect various travel classes. On European routes, the cost for a standard seat in economy class stays at €14. However, for intercontinental flights, the price has risen from €39 to €45. The biggest price hikes are in premium economy and business class, where seat reservation fees have increased even more significantly.

Increases for seats with greater comfort
Passengers looking to reserve seats with extra legroom will also face higher costs. On certain routes, this option can cost up to €115. In business class, the price hikes are even steeper, with “Extra Space Seats” on selected long-haul flights reaching up to €230, according to CHIP.de.
Higher booking fees
The last price adjustment for bookings occurred in June, but the current increases are more noticeable. Additionally, bookings made through GDS (Global Distribution System) are now €7 more expensive than those made directly through airline websites or using NDC (New Distribution Capability).
