Changes affecting employees in Germany from October 2022

Work in Germany. Changes affecting employees in Germany 2022. If you have been working in Germany you must be prepared for a number of changes. Some of them are positive changes like receiving more money.

Here are the changes taking place in October:

Changes for employees at Minijob and Midijob

Remuneration for work under Minijob may not exceed the monthly amount stipulated by law. Due to the increase in the minimum wage in Germany this year, the rate will increase from 450 to 520 euros. At the same time, new regulations will come into force, changing the rules for paying social security contributions.

From October, anyone wishing to switch from Minijob to Midijob will be able to do so without fear that the premiums will consume most of the money generated during overtime.
