Victor Osimhen transfer update. African footballers. Galatasaray is reportedly preparing to make a €49 million bid for striker Victor Osimhen in January, aiming to make his loan move from Napoli permanent.

After being linked with moves away from Napoli over the summer, the 25-year-old Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in September. He has made an impressive start in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring four goals and providing two assists in just four starts.

Galatasaray’s manager, Okan Buruk, is eager to keep Osimhen for the long term, but money is a challenge. Napoli reportedly set a €73 million release clause for clubs outside Italy, which makes a permanent deal expensive.

However, according to Turkish news outlet Sozcu, Galatasaray is determined to make an offer. With support from a sponsor, the club is prepared to bid a club-record €49 million, aiming to finalize the transfer in the January window. This offer would be the biggest transfer in Galatasaray’s history, more than double the €17 million they paid Norwich for Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara earlier this year.

A successful deal would also mean beating out competition from top clubs like Chelsea and PSG, who are interested in Osimhen. Just last month, Osimhen expressed confidence in his high transfer value, noting that he considers himself one of the top talents in world football.

This potential transfer shows Galatasaray’s ambition to invest in Osimhen, seeing his value both as a player and for his market appeal.
