Germany vaccine: German Health Minister Jens Spahn has said people who have been fully vaccinated might soon be able to regain personal freedoms and return to a more ordinary life.
The Minister told a Sunday Newspaper that soon after the second shot of the COVID-19 vaccine he could see some hard lockdown measures lifted for those done receiving the vaccine.
The German President Steinmeier has also called on citizens to get the vaccination (we wrote about it HERE). He has backed the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Germany saying he has full trust in all vaccines approved by the German authorities.
“Vaccination is the most important step on our way out of the pandemic – so take advantage of the opportunities! Join in!” he said.
Spahn added that fully vaccinated people could be soon allowed to travel, visit shops or go to the hairdressers without restrictive measures such as having to produce a negative test result.
“Anyone who has been fully vaccinated can in the future be treated like treated like someone who has tested negatively,” Spahn told the newspaper Bild am Sonntag.
The catch is the decision would be made once the third wave of the pandemic is under control or has coem to an end- DW.
