Germany: More than 11,000 dead since the beginning of the pandemic. In the last 24 hours, 13,363 new infections were reported

Germany covid-19 cases: German health authorities reported 13,363 new SARS-CoV-2 infections in 24 hours on Monday (November 9th), which is about 2,650 fewer cases than on Sunday, according to the Robert Koch Institute – RKI.

The number of registered cases is usually lower on Monday, partly because fewer tests are performed on weekends. Last Monday, the number of new infections reported was 12,097.

The peak was reached on Germany covid-19 cases was on Saturday with 23,399 new cases reported. According to RKI, a total of 671,868 people across Germany have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of virus-related deaths has increased by 63 in the last 24 hours to a total of 11,352. RKI estimates that approximately 429,600 people have recovered.

According to the report published by RKI on Sunday evening, the seven-day R (infection rate) index was 1.01 yesterday (the previous day: 1.04), which means that ten infected people infected an average of ten other people. The value represents the appearance of the infection eight to 16 days ago. If it is less than 1 long, the infection process disappears.
