Germany, Berlin launches project on vaccination in companies

Germany: Berlin has set to launch a pilot project that will see the vaccination of people in companies. According to the Senate department of Health, a total of 13,000 vaccines doses will be made available.

Health Senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD) wants to meet with the association of company doctors on Monday and Tuesday.

The federation has announced the start of vaccination in companies for 7 June 2021. “The Berlin business community is preparing to build vaccination capacity in Berlin companies

The project started Monday in six critical infrastructure companies with 5,000 vaccination doses but Berlin serves to be included in the pilot project with a further 8,000 vaccination doses.

Vaccination in companies in Germany is thus to be tested and the time until the nationwide start of vaccination in companies is to be bridged. This will serve as a major milestone in vaccination management.

Pharmaceutical companies Bayer and Berlin Chemie have set up makeshift vaccination streets.

Here, employees of these companies, but also employees of the critical infrastructure – such as the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), Vattenfall and Berliner Wasserbetriebe – are to be vaccinated.
