Germany: The number of new coronavirus infections and deaths in the country is decreasing. Report by Robert Koch Institute shows that 1144 new infections and 163 deaths were recorded yesterday.
The number of deaths recorded during the day increased by 53 compared to the previous day. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Germany has reached 5913.
Over the past 24 hours, a total of 1,144 new coronavirus infections were recorded in Germany yesterday. On the same day 126 coronavirus related deaths were recorded.
The daily number of infections increased slightly after four days of decline. The total number of reported cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Germany increased to 156,337.
About 2,900 coronavirus patients were cured during the last day, RKI reported. In total, about 118,000 people have been cured from coronavirus infections. This is 75% of all coronavirus infections in the country.
Among the German federal states, most infections were recorded in Bavaria – 41,406, North Rhine-Westphalia 32, 184 and in Baden-Württemberg – 31,196.
