Stage set for Kenyan Cultural Day in Niederrad, Frankfurt am Main

Kenyans in Frankfurt am Main, Germany will host the second Kenyan Cultural Day in Niederrad on 2nd June 2018.

The interactive event organised by Rafikis am Main e.v., a socio-cultural association of Kenyans in Frankfurt, aims at preserving and promoting the rich Kenyan heritage in Germany.

Joseph Kamau Kimani, the Chairman of Rafikis am Main e.v., says the main aim of Kenyan Cultural Day in Niederrad, Frankfurt am Main is “to promote Kenya’s unique heritage”. It also aims to unite Kenyans in the area, strengthen friendship and break all sorts of barriers.

The second Kenyan Cultural Day in Niederrad, Frankfurt am Main will be held on 2nd June 2018, at the TSG Niederrad 1898, Hanstr 76, 60528 Niederrad.

Parents are encouraged to bring along their children since there will be a special programme for kids and parents, to ensure they are fully entertained.

Kenyan Cultural Day in Niederrad2The event will feature Kenyan fashion show, and of course a variety of Kenyan dishes including: Mokimo, Nyama Choma, Kachumbari, Samosas, Chapatis, Githeri, etc.

Dan Safari, a Kenyan Reggae musician will stage a live show. Guests will also be entertained by Samburu Dancers and Luo Traditional Dancers. There will be a children’s football tournament, a curtain raiser for 2018 FIFA World Cup, a platform for Kenyan Fashion Designers to promote their work, and more games and activities for children.

The Master of Ceremony will be Philly Yambo Makora, a Kenyan Public Relations Consultant in Mainz.
