AFCON 2021, meet the all female referee squad to officiate at the Africa Cup

Female referee squad AFCON 2021: The Africa Cup games have been going on in Cameroon highlighting amazing African footballers from Africa and the world. The games have also paved way for the first female referee squad to officiate at the Africa Cup, here are the amazing women at the games:

Salima Mukasanga (Rwanda)

Salima Mukasanga, 35, from Rwanda became the first woman to officiate at the AFCON games that are going on currently in Cameroon.

Salima became an international referee in the year 2019 and has since been a source of motivation for young girls and women everywhere in the world who aspire to be referees.

She made history 18th January 2022 as the first woman to referee at the AFCON games as the head referee with her female squad. The game was Zimababwe vs. Guinea (2-1).
