Several African health ministers and experts and are coming to Germany for the 3rd German-African Healthcare Symposium.
Jointly organised by Afrika-Verein (German African Business Association) and the German Healthcare Partnership (GHP), the conference will be held on 12th October 2016 at Ellington Hotel Berlin, Nürnberger Strasse 50-55, 10789 Berlin.
Key topics of this year’s German-African Healthcare Symposium are: strengthening of healthcare systems; access to African healthcare markets; the role of digitization in the healthcare sector; financing healthcare projects and infrastructure and the role of faith-based organizations in the health field.
The conference will be addressed by Luis Gomes Sambo, Minister of Health, Angola; André Mama Fouda, Minister of Public Health, Cameroon; Kane Boubacar, Minister of Health, Mauritania; Dr Bernard Haufiku, Minister of Health and Social Services, Namibia, and Omar Sey, Minister of Health, The Gambia.
It will also be addressed by Dr David Parirenyatwa, Ministry of Health and Child Care, Zimbabwe; Madina Rahman, Deputy Minister of Health, Sierra Leone; Thomas Silberhorn, MdB, State Secretary, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ); Dr Matshidiso Moeti, Regional Director for Africa, World Health Organization; Dr Luiz Loures, Deputy Executive Director, Programme, UNAIDS and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Fabrice Sergent, Chief Health Analyst, Human Development Department, African Development Bank.
The conference will be held following and in collaboration with the World Health Summit (WHS) taking place in Berlin from 9th to 11th October 2016.
